Gran Sasso

The region of Abruzzo is beautiful and historic, towns lie in ancient hillsides and found between snow capped mountains from which the Adriatic Sea is seen and the crystal white sand beaches. Small settlements show you the example of what life used to be like, the food and drink is also very traditional and has one of the best tastes in the country. The Abruzzo national park, Gran Sasso and The Majella are the major national parks and some of the most unspoilt landscape in Italy and the area.

Getting There

To get to the house and to Abruzzo you need to fly to the nearest airport which is Pescara, dialy flights operate in the summer from London Stansted airport. From the arriving at the airport and picking up car hire Italy it would take a 45 minute drive to the house. When you book with us, only then will we give you full details and a map to get to the villa.
The beautiful city of Ancona is about 2 hours drive and from where regular flights also operate.

Out and About

Case de Kings is in the area of Teramo in Abruzzo, it is renowned for constant sunny weather and beauty. Food markets and stalls are 5 minutes away in Castiglione Messer Raimondo, and a further 4 minutes to Bisenti. Bisenti has lots of shops and delis and a supermarket, it is well worth going to for your groceries and shopping needs. The famous San Lorenzo vineyard is less than 15 minutes away, not just wine but they also have some excellent cuisine.

Eating out can be at the local pizzeria, the local restaurant with only Italian food being served and small cafe bars. Take a trip to Atri a hill top town with many good restaurants, its an historical town and its old church in the middle adds to the classic ancient atmosphere already found in its tradition.

Other activities involve doing a few rounds of golf, 2 golf courses are roughly an hour away with driving ranges and a course for all types of golfer. If you wish to go skiing then you can head towards the nearest ski resorts which are within an hours drive from the house.
The beaches of Silva Marina and Roseto are half an hour, these are popular beaches, they are the cleanest in Europe and they both have miles and miles of white sandy beach and excellent water for swimming, surfing and just relaxing.
